A friend of mine asked if a 69 console with gages can be installed in a 1967 Camaro.  It is a 4 speed.  If so, what are the dimensions where the front bracket starts from some point like the welded seam?

Thanks, Wayne

I'm sure you can make it fit, but the anchor bolt locations (rivnuts) are different between consoles.

A factory assembly manual for 1969 Camaro should answer most of your questions. I've been able to download specific vignettes from 1968 and 1969 assembly manuals online for updating my 1967 SS350. (traction bar, 10 bolt 8.5 inch posi differential, etc... Factory assembly manuals can be purchased as cheaply as 15-25.00 on E-bay, cheaper if you keep your eyes peeled in antique/flea market vendors that specialize in automotive manuals or swap meets. 1967 consoles are cheap enough that I encourage you to shop a bit for your your first of first gen part. My stock 1967 console with guages looks good in my opinion. I've juiced it up with aftermarket instrument panel, stewart warner speedo/tach/instruments, matching console guages. 1969 console is a little bit wider, mounting will be more difficult, wiring is different and it won't look as good in my opinion. Vive la difference'
