Maybe it was a space saver spare vehicle or did they use the standard vert location tie down too?

If the test ride was videoed with larger tires on then the car is quicker then I guesstimated right?
Tire size and speedo gears always confuse me. Wink
Could be wrong, but I didn't think space saver spares were an option on a convertible and thought they used a different location than the standard coupe location?

Steve - I did too but according to the RPO options list the only restrictions were not available on Z28 and vehicles with option JL8 4 wheel disc brakes. So guess it could have been ordered in any vert. I looked for a trunk pan pic of both coupe and vert if that is a normal location, but had no luck.

Hold down locations are in the AIM.  Think they are up in the UPC section in the front of the book, instead of the RPO section in the back.

Nope just went an looked, jack stowage is in the front UPC section, space saver is in RPO N65 and they do show a convertible location for it.  It is in a different location though from a space saver in a coupe, its further back in the trunk (towards the tailights) probably to clear the roof when folded it down.

Car sold so I have no idea if the tranny or rear end were original to the car.
