It's just a double-groove alternator pulley but I don't know what it was used on originally. You can see in the 1968 photo the car had the usual large diameter single-groove pulley that came stock on the Z/28s and it was running a smog pump and exhaust manifolds back then also. Now there are headers and no smog pump.

Here is a cool picture taken by Dave Friedman at the Glen 500 Trans Am race at Watkins Glen, New York on August 10, 1969.  It shows a neat Chevy Camaro Z28 advertising sign located in the pits just above the Penske Camaro.  Does anyone know what the rest of the tagline says?
