Here is an ad for the 1970 Alfa Romeo GTA featuring the 1970 Mid-Ohio Trans Am U-2 race winning car of Bert Everett.  Since the race took place on June 7, 1970 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio it must have appeared sometime after that.  I found the ad on the Alfa's In Trans Am thread on the Alfa Bulletin Board: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/picture-room/17978-alfas-trans-am.html

Here is an ad for the 1970 Alfa Romeo GTA featuring the 1970 Donnybrooke Trans Am U-2 race winning car of Horst Kwech.  Since the race took place on July 5, 1970 at Donnybrooke International Raceway, Brainerd, Minnesotta it must have appeared after that.  I found the ad on the Alfa's In Trans Am thread on the Alfa Bulletin Board: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/picture-room/17978-alfas-trans-am.html

Here is an ad for the 1970 Alfa Romeo GTA featuring the Road America Trans Am U-2 race winning car of Horst Kwech.  Two wins for him in a row.  Since the race took place on July 19, 1970 at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin the ad must have appeared sometime after that.  I found the ad on the Alfa's In Trans Am thread on the Alfa Bulletin Board: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/picture-room/17978-alfas-trans-am.html

Here is an ad for the 1970 Alfa Romeo GTA featuring a picture of the 1970 St. Jovite Trans Am U-2 winning car of Lee Midgeley (following the eventual second place Alfa of Horst Kwech).  Since this race took place on August 2, 1970 at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant St. Jovite, Quebec, Canada it must have appeared sometime after that.  I found the ad on the Alfa's In Trans Am thread on the Alfa Bulletin Board: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/picture-room/17978-alfas-trans-am.html

Here is an ad for Alfa Romeo touting their 1970 Trans Am U-2 championship.  Since the last race took place at Riverside International Raceway, Riverside, California on October 4, 1970 this ad must have appeared sometime after that (1971 model year).  The two are identical except for the color.  I found these pictures on ebay.

Here is an ad for the 1971 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce that mentions that they are the 1970 Trans Am Champions.  The ad appeared in the program for the 1971 Bryar 200 Trans Am race which took place at Bryar Motorsports Park, Laconia, New Hampshire on May 31, 1971.  I believe I found this at this web site.

Now it's time for the Under 2.0 liter Porsche ads.

Here is an ad for Champion Spark Plugs that features the 1968 Porsche 911 of Tony Adamowicz.  The ad states: "piloting his Porsche 911 to five class victories in a row, Tony Adamowicz captures the 1968 under-2-liter Trans-American Championship--sparked by Champions."  Since it mentions his 1968 Championship the ad must have appeared in late 1968 after he clinched.

Here is a national 1969 ad from Porsche that states, "the earlier developments perfected in these unique cars brought victory to virtually stock Porsche sedans in the Trans-American Championship...."  The car pictured in the photo looks to be the #8 of Fred Baker who finished 7th in the three hour race for U-2 Trans Am cars at Sebring in 1968.

Here we have an ad for Kendall GT-1 racing oil that features the 1969 U-2 Championsip winning Porsche 911 of Peter Gregg.  The ad appeared in the October 25, 1969 edition of Competition Press & Autoweek.  Jon Mello posted the picture on this web site on the first page of the thread entitled, "Riverside Trans-Am races."

And now for the Datsuns.

Here is an ad for the Datsun 510 that features the Peter Brock Datsuns.  The #46 in the front was driven by John Morton.  Since the ad mentions that they have been "winning with unbelievable regularity" and there is no mention of a championship, I believe this one ran sometime during the 1971 season.

Here is an ad for the 1972 Datsun 510 featuring the 1971 2.5 Championship winning BRE Datsun of John Morton.  As you can see the ad appeared in the February 1972 issue of an unknown magazine.
