Chick, I have sent my entry fee in, so unless something changes I will be there. My wife and I went to the Chevy High Performance event at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce Ga. this past w/e...We met a ton of great great people, and if Camaro Nationals  car show is as good as last weekend, then the trip will be worth the six hour drive.

I'm not sure, but think the weather last past weekend was the best that I every enjoied when showing a car...I only saw one cloud in the sky all day..I think it was lost.

We'll be bringing this one all the way from Texas.  Gonna stop a Jerry Macneish's place on Wednesday then roll into Fredrick on Thursday.

Wow. Beautiful car! I'm guessing you won't be driving it. I love the white vinyl roof. My favorite of all time.

Are you in Legends?

How did the swap meet at Fredrick last year compare to prior years in Carlisle?     Are there lots of new and used parts vendors for early Camaros?

Never went to Carlisle show, but here's a discussion of last year's show in Frederick

I recently asked the MD Camaro Club if there was a list of 2012 vendors, but did not get a reply.

There wasn't much in the way of a flea market last year.

I drove the 800 miles from Bama to Carlisle hoping to find parts, AND to see the cars...   It's almsot as far to Fredrick, but without the parts possibilities, I'm not sure it's worth it to me..

The only thing in Carlisle's favor to me would be the best ham and cheese sandwich on the planet.  And I found plenty of good food at Fredrick last year to make up for it. The last time I was at Carlisle I wanted to buy parts from some major Camaro dealers. Only thing they had was display items, everything had to be shipped that I wanted. So it was of no use to me to be there, might as well just look in the catelog.

Thanks for the compliment John.  I believe I am in Legends unless they boot me out.  I am pretty sure serial number and other codes meet specs.  And yes I will be trailering from Texas.

I agree. The flea market part of Carlisle used to be the main attraction for me but over the past few years or so its been a disappointment. Fewer used parts vendors, more reconditioned parts with ebay prices, and more new parts vendors that may offer free shipping on items they didn't bring to the show. I think I've bought more nice used tools there than anything else recently. There were a handful of guys selling some used and NOS stuff at Camaro Nationals last year and I actually bought a few things. I'm hoping to see them and more this year. Overall, I'm excited about the whole event including the bikini contest on Saturday.  :P
