Hi
I'm looking at  a blue 69 Z. Any thoughts on whether these items look legit?  The VIN and dates line up; however, the partial VINs are crooked.  Not sure if this suspicious or not.  This car was the subject of a magazine article several years back.
Thanks!

I'd say your suspicions are valid.

What state is this car located in?
Is it Dusk Blue or Lemans Blue?

Wonder why there is so many layers of paint on the Trim Tag, I would say it might be a reproduction tag.

Car was in NY, but is now in Canada
Car is dusk blue with blue deluxe interior.  I'm not 100% certain, but the trim tag appears to me to be OK.  I'm more concerned with the block and transmission stamps.

I had looked at a car locally in Illinois a number of years ago that was Dusk Blue and was featured in a Car Magazine. The seller had bought the car from a guy in New York and had a copy of the magazine included in the sale.
The block vin number was crisp and bright like the pictures you posted.
This particular car was also rear ended and was very poorly repaired and quite obvious with a peek into the trunk.
I passed on that one to say the least even though I love Dusk Blue.

Buyer beware.... please have the stamped numbers examined by a competent inspector.

Yikes on that block VIN.
Hard to say much more without better pics.

Hi Kurt

By 'yikes' I assume you mean likely a restamp, and a poor one at that?

I really like the double strike on the last 2 on the block VIN... yet no other has a double strike... I guess no one told the bouncing hand they were done with a gang stamp!

The VIN numbers spacing looks different between the engine and transmission.
