No Radio Cars

 Did 67-67 camaros with  no radios ,still have the antenna and cable?   I ordered a new chevy in the mid-eightys without a radio. The car had the block off plate, but  also had the factory antenna and cable.

If it was a mast antenna car, an antenna would not be installed if a radio was not specified. In the 70's and beyond, many cars had antenna's built into the windshield and they were installed whether a radio was spec'd or not.

If you ordered a car radio delete there was no antenna in windshield. I have a 70 Nova radio delete with original windshield with no antenna. I also had a 72 Chevelle and it didn't have antenna in windshield. There were plenty of cars back then ordered radio delete. Factory radios weren't nearly as good as the aftermarket ones. That era was the beginning of higher watt stereo systems and the factory ones just couldn't compete with them so lots of people opted to go radio delete and put in their choice.

I special ordered two Firebird's and two Camaro's in the the 70's and 80's. All were ordered without factory radios and I did not specify the windshield antenna to be installed. Every one of them was delivered with the antenna in the windshield.
