« on: May 31, 2012, 02:58:10 PM »
Where is the correct location for the clamp that holds on one of the power steering hoses ? (which bolt of the steering box cover) and which hose (return)? I think p/n is 9420534

1968 small block.

thank you

If you mean THIS ONE, it bolts to the front passenger side cover bolt and holds the pressure hose.

Was this clamp on all 67-69 cars with P/S? Small block and big block?

Yes, 67-69, but only on V8 engines. L6's didn't use it.

By the way, that P/N (9420534) isn't the clamp I linked to. 9420534 is the clamp to attach the rubber return hose to the metal tubes that are screwed into the steering gear and the pump. The clamp I linked above has no part number because it was part of the steering gear assembly.
