multileaf rear suspension on 67?
« on: July 19, 2006, 10:47:22 PM »
Has anyone ever seen an multi leaf suspension on a 67? I noticed in the RPO spreadsheet that a G30 code for 67 was a special multi leaf suspension that required rear bumper guards but there are no numbers showing how many were built. Also you could not get a G30 with F40 ( heavy duty front and rear suspension) or F41 (special purposes front and rear suspension) with this G30 code. What were the F40 and F41 codes made up of in regards to springs and shocks? Was a sway bar part of either package.

Thanks !!!!!!!

I don't believe this was available in 67.  I don't see this option anywhere in the Camaro order forms.  The note in CRG's RPO spreadsheet says there was no production figures given for 67.  All rear springs were mono leaf in 67.
Another note, F40 and F41 was not available with G30 for 68 and 69.
F40 was not available for 67.

If you're asking about a rear sway bar, no rear sway bar was ever factory-installed on any 1st-generation Camaro.

Daniel and John:

I did not see any production numbers either for multi leaf in '67. Was that a common thing to do? I mean list an optiuon like G30 but then not produce any? In regards to the two F options for special and heavy duty suspension, were the springs and shocks different than standard equipment based on engine size or what?
