Interior on 69
« on: February 12, 2012, 09:24:46 PM »
I have been trying to learn as much as I can while looking at z28s.  Little confused after seeing several.
I found a nice rs car with houndstooth.  It has a console but no wood trim on dash. I read where it should have some on the drivers side. It doesnt.  It also has standard door panels. I am thinking it should have base seats and no console?  It doesnt have the dash assist handle either and no radio.
The other car I saw did have the console and wood on drivers side, and it had the handle, standard seats and door panels.  So was the handle an option or only part of the z87?  Could you get z23 without z87?

Thank you, been spending way too much time reading info on here!

It is common to see restored standard interior Camaros with houndstooth seats; it's not correct. Black custom interiors could be comfortweave or houndstooth; white, yellow and orange were houndstooth only. Green, blue and red were comfortweave only.

Z23 Special Interior Group was a common upgrade for the standard interior. Z87 included it. A console was always optional.

Restored cars are often incorrectly configured.
