Shock absorbers
« on: February 03, 2012, 08:37:37 AM »
I'm after some aftermarket shock absorbers for the front and rear of my 68 Camaro. I can't afford spiral shocks so am after some good quality shocks that don't cost a fortune but aren't rubbish either. Is anybody using some that they can recommend.

For my 69 Z/28 I am going with spiral shocks but after 6 months I am still looking for one of the front 477’s.  I have read a lot of postings that say the ride with the NOS spiral shocks are terrible and that repops aren’t much better.

For my other 69 Camaro, I bought Edelbrock Classics from Summit.

Rear, Edelbrock EDL-34046, $46.13 each: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-34046/

Front, Edelbrock EDL-33041: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-33041/

Cost is unknown on the fronts because it’s out of stock and I don’t think their substitute shock is for Camaros.

I'm running Bilstein's on my 69 and really like them.
I had Edlebrock IAS's on my 77 and those were very good, too.
