Any ideas where to find a correct dipstick for a 69 TH350?   Can't seem to find this from any online vendors that look remotely original, only the tube.

Thanks Marty, but looking for an automatic transmission dipstick for a TH350, not engine oil   :)

If you aren't too concerned about it being original HBC has this one...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-1968-1969-Camaro-Transmission-oil-dipstick-Corvette-Chevelle-Nova-/230689206982?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item35b625f2c6

...Threw mine in for comparison just in case you need it...

Thanks!  I looked on the HBC website and it's not listed there anywhere that I could find - and didn't find it on my ebay search ealier for some reason.  Their picture isn't detailed enough to compare vs yours unfortunately.   If I can't find an original, I'll pick up one of these off Ebay.

Well I did a buy it now and they responded it's no longer available, refunded the money.   Still looking for one.

Srode - tell me exactly what you are looking for, i.e. length, what text you are looking for on the stick etc. and I will check to see what I have. A few years ago I picked several from the junk yard and still have them. I will be happy to sell you one cheap.

Thanks Lawrence!  Marty, I assume yours is original?, Can you let us know what length yours is please?  I can measure the one I have, and get close but because it's too short I will have to guess at the length.  When about full the level registers just at the start of the twist at the end on mine.

Well this is interesting - mine measures 24 inches too, but if I fill to the mark running and warmed up it's over full.  The transmission shop that built it for me told me when warm and full it should be at about the gasket line in the pan.  I ended up using a clear hose to establish the fill level by running it down the dipstick tube, and bottoming it on the pan then measuring level by coming back up the stick by the level of the pan.  When I did this, after sucking fluid out to get it to the right level, it stopped puking fluid out the vent.   The full level is about where the first D in the word Add is on the stick that Marty has.  The tube is the original for the car.  Hmmmm, not sure what to think about this now.

I had a 74 Corvette in High School that had a Turbo 400. When the fluid was hot it would puke fluid out of the dipstick tube when the stick read full. Finally, I just let it puke out what it wanted to and ran the car. I never had a problem with it after that.

Steve - your stick should measure 23 1/2" to the base of the cap and your tube should measure 22".

Steve, both of these are 23.5 inches per Marty's dipstick. If you need one let me know. I can email you better pictures too.
