67 Vent Window
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:11:01 PM »
Can anybody please recommend a supplier for some black rubber channel to go on my vent windows?  I'm talking about the chrome edge that attaches directly on the glass.  Nobody seems to carry that in the Camaro catalogs but I figure it must be available somewhere.

Thanks.

They are not reproduced yet.  I had my originals rechromed, do you have the originals?      Or heres one place that carries usually good stuff: http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/store/search.asp

Are you talking about the material between the vent window glass and the frame around the glass, which mounts the glass into the frame?  If so, see the bottom right item on this site illustration, auto glass setting tape:

Here's another source, I imagine any glass shop would also carry this:

My mistake,Duh.  Most any Auto Glass installer should have this tape.  I just had my frames replated and took them to the Glass place and let them install them, not expensive.($25 for pair)  And done right.

I took them to a shop near me that does residential glass.  I thought it was an auto glass shop but they did them for me anyway.  Got them back  today and they look pretty good.  $30 and it was well worth it.

Thanks for the tips.
