I got this as a gift from my brother, also very much a car nut.  I am going to try to make a belt buckle out of it.(it already has the studs cut of short on back, so it's not much good for anything else)

If it is restored it may be worth something to the COPO, Yenko or ZL-1 clone makers.

Charley

COPO, ZL1 and Yenko never used that emblem.

looks like the grill emblem for a 1967 SS427 Impala

If the studs are cut off, how can that be fixed?   I'm all for restoring original stuff, but wouldn't it cost much more than it would be worth to try to restore it?  IF, even possible?

Thanks for your comments guys.  I think I'm going to stick with the original plan, ie; Belt Buckle.  I think my brother said he only paid like $2 at a swap meet when I first saw it last summer.

It should look pretty cool as a belt buckle.
