I was looking at this guys trunk emblem auction and missed the bidding, but saw this and checked it out.  It was at $50 or so with a few hours to go.  I thought I misread it.  Then I checked after it ended.  I used a few expletives.  Something smells rotten.  All this guys auctions seem to have gone higher than they should.  I'm not making an accusation, but I smell a rat.

I think GM still sells these too.  Is this going to make a difference in a show car?  I don't think there's that much difference with the others and this, if any.

You are correct, these would not make any difference to me either. Here is a link to Heartbeat City as they sell the front for $3.95 and the rear for $2.95 and they look the same to me.  Would be ironic if the local Chevrolet dealer still sold these...

The newer ones seem to have a 4 way split to the back side and the old ones are just in half I guess.  I've seen ones that are just in half though that were a lot less than $27 each.  I still think something's up.

Does anyone honestly think a judge is going to have you remove your front plate to check your "nuts". If you drop the rear plate for inspection do you really think they would notice? They are looking for bracket number not mounting nuts. I got mine at Pep Boys and they looked great until covered by the front plate and frame. Wish I had 100 of those sets at that price I could restore the front suspension of my Z. Five will get you 10 they get relisted!
