I have in my possession this '678' block with casting date of D 19 8.  The pad info is V0422MS and 18N425246.

1968 Chevy Camaro 295hp 350 rebuilt engine.  This is a fully rebuilt shortblock engine.  Block casting number 3914678 Date code D198 (Apr 19th, 1968) and  #1182 Forged Steel Crankshaft.  This is an original NOT restamped engine.  This has Engine Code V0422MS and Vin 18N425246.     

It has new .030 Silvolite Flat top pistons,  Forged steel crankshaft reground, Large Journal O rods, All new rod and main bearings, moly rings, durabond cam bearings,
