1968 z wiring harness over or under wiper motor

Hello, Does anyone know if the harness goes over or under the wiper motor?The car is a 12d 1968z non rs. I think both ways are correct. The assembly manual shows on top,but seen more than one untouched original on the bottom. Also only seen this on the bottom on 68s only,never a 69.Just sold a untouched 68z that it was on the bottom. Doing the final assembly on my 68z getting ready for the MCACN show . Anyone?What should I do??? thanks John
