3352 block
« on: September 05, 2006, 01:20:42 PM »
OK CRG I need some guidance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend I was at a car show and was talking to a few fellow Camaro owners. One had a "3352" block for sale that came out of his "67 Camaro. The casting date according to this person is B 8 or 9 ( can't remember for sure) of 67.  My cars build date is the first week of April in '67. He stated it was a 350 but did not have numbers off the front pad. He said these were eliminated when he had it decked a few years back and then decided to drop a 383 Crate into his Camaro instead of using the block. Anyways, the price is good, includes the crank and pistons. Has anyone ever seen a 3352 block in a '67 other than a 327?? I know CRG states that the 3352 was available for the SS350 but all I have ever seen or have ever heard discussed was the 2657 block. If I were to purchase this engine, would it be considered a numbers matching for my car?  ??? ???

Thanks

We have not documented a 3352 block in an L48. Not to say it didn't happen.

Since it's not original (and decked), I wouldn't sweat it as long as the internals are correct.

Kurt:

Thanks for the reply. Even though it still isn't original if I am going to attempt to make my car a numbers matching I want to do it correctly. I am still leary of the fact no "3352" has not been documented.

Welll I guess from the responses I have received regarding this matter, the opinion is moot.
