I don't remember where I saw the post but it had a picture of those and said the ends were not correct.

As I recall, 60's brake hoses had a single crimp on the ends; when DOT regulations became effective, the brake hose test requirements changed, and new hoses had to have a double crimp in order to pass the DOT pressure test; that's the only kind you can buy today.

Thanks Gents,
so the ends were single crimped on the originals, what about the markings?

I believe they are pretty much spot on. The guys doing those hoses did alot of research on their parts.

In NCRS judging on Corvettes, we don't take a deduction for modern double-crimped brake hoses, as it's a safety item.

Here is the recent post from the past week. http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=8353.0 Or scan down the page you posted and you will see the brake hose post.
I believe the hoses being used are Raybestos. InLiine Tube advertises front brake hoses that are supposed to be the same.

The  Raybestos. InLiine Tube hoses are not the same as the original hoses. The original hoses have a square end on the banjo fitting, the InLlne tube and Raybestos hoses have rounded corners on the banjo fitting. The hoses in the auction have the correct square end banjo fitting.

I guess when I sell some more body parts I can spring for the hoses.  I just found my original back hose and I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

As John Z stated the long single crimp is assembly line correct. Later DOT regulations required the double crimp as a safety requirement. 68Zproject shows the correct original type crimp found on 60's built cars.

Our orig. 68 Z/28 rear hose cleaned up pretty decent especially the hose part with the red writing.
