Contact Don Lightfoot in Ontario, Canada. He does excellent reproduction tags, tapes, decals, stickers, etc. He'll custom make things not available on the aftermarket. I was very pleased with his spring tags, disc brake splash shield decals, and glovebox tire pressure decal. I have used his work on my concours 68 RS/SS Convertible with an L48 and C60 A/C.
Wrap the leaf spring tape completely around the rear portion of the spring, just forward of the rear shackle. The coil spring tape wraps once around the middle coil, with the excess (tab) toward the shock. To be technically correct, you should use a tape cutter with a serrated edge to make cuts...that way, the tape will not have a smoothly cut edge (such as with scissors). The splash shield decals go at the top, inside half of the shield, just forward of the upper ball joint. Per Jerry MacNeish's Z28 book, one decal is black text on a yellow background and one is red text on a yellow background. I don't have his book with me right now (I'm traveling), so I don't remember which side gets the black versus red text.
