RK motors always post beautifully restored cars without posting any pre-restored photos, any stampings, cowl tags, paperwork or VINs and write Super long descriptions without telling you what you want to know...

... and to always be selling some of the rarest cars around.... leaves me thinking and suspecting this is just another shop producing bogus cars by the 100's

Maybe I am wrong but every car I have asked them (RK Motors) about leaves me wondering... with more questions than answers...

... and for what it is worth I surely would not spend that kind of money without an Iron clad certification from someone such as Jerry M, and a documented history

Does anyone know if this is a trustworthy dealer?

Has anyone had or know of any issues with RK motors?

The VIN is 124379N662529 and it was for sale back in February of 03 for 11k. At that time it had been off the road since 76 and raced. The 1/4's were cut and it had a rusty dash. It did have a DZ block, but there's no record of it being numbers matching block.

9N662529 - it was a cowl hood car, but I don't think it was an RS. NOM, orig trans.

RK is mainly a consignment dealer. I have friends in in NC that have sold through them. I hear there advertise what the owner tells them to unless there are docs. I have a friend hear that has a nicer one, deluxe hoodstooth, ect. with docs ( I personnally have not examined) but the car is a 10. He mentioned trading down for a real Z driver. If you PM me with your contacts I will give them to him.

That's Joe Carroll's new operation.  He moved from the Cleveland, OH area due to the weather issues.  Have done work for him before and Joe's a straight shooter.

Jerry

That's what Jerry MacNeish said about them.

Sorry, I'm not able to go by and check on it for the next several weeks.

I live in Charlotte and know the guys at RK. They have done work on my 68 Charger which I am pleased with. Bottom line I thin they are good guys, but they do consign cars and probably don't know all the details of a consignors car. Gary V who runs the shop in Charlotte is a knowledgeable first Gen Camaro guy.
