Marty
That's a roger. I will advise when received. I have not had much luck posting pictures no matter how small I try to make them.
I am a much better model builder and Camaro restorer/driver than computer guy

I didn't get a chance to look through it all.  Do they have the black ones?

Chick - I checked out your link. I think you mention one of the original clips is black & one is white. Or two are white and one is black. Can you please clarify? And...which one goes where (fender/alternator bracket).

Thanx

BTW, your seats look terrific!

Marty, on our orig. 68 front engine harness all the push in plugs were black vs. the similar plug (shape the same) on our American Autowire harness that were white. The only white push in on our original was the one at the alternator shown in the attached picture. I took the orig. one off our harness and laid it on top of the new harness so we could see the differences. Will post later a more detailed picture of the push in type black plugs as they are stapled to a plastic strip the length of the taped harness. Did not know until I started unwrap the original.

Here you go Marty! I thought before starting to unwrap the tape off the orig. harness the plastic black plug maybe had an inch or so on both sides of the plug that the tape held in place by but was surprised to see it's actually stapled to a length of plastic strip that seems to go the length of the taping. The attached pics show some of the length of the strap and how the plug is attached on the back side. On another note I have pictures of the sockets changed out to assist with making the new harness more accurate like the headlight sockets and the rear taillight sockets. I'm also trying to find the plastic sleeve that surrounded the harness in the trunk area. Mine has dried out and cracked in too many places. More pics in the link you reviewed. And thanks for the kind words on the Al Knoch interior restoration. I like it ;D

Chick - great pics and thanks for explaining the differences between the two. This is the second time mention has been made referencing the plastic strip. It almost seems like an after thought. I say this because of the wire slots/holes in the clips followed by the addition of a stapled strip rendering the slots useless. It would be interesting to know what the thought process was for this strip...added protection for a wire? Strengthening the anchor point, or what? Sorry, just thinking out loud.  :-\

Thanx again

I'm assuming it was they could use different length of strips for a multitude of harnesses and then staple the push in where needed. Two part numbers (bill of material) that could be made for again any harness, hence the flexibility for mfg.
The only reason logical for the length of that strip was to give the harness strength but again it's just an assumption. Yea, I know what it means when we assume ;D
