I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is best to clean off rust that has accumulated on my serial number pad of my 302 . I had the motor rebuilt 2 years ago and brought it home and left it on an engine stand since because of family issues. The engine has formed rust on the engine pad as the block was left untouched for 24  months. I guess I should have put some oil on the bare area before it was stored away I do not want to harm this area as it is the born with 302 for my 68 Z. Any ideas,Thanks  Huh
