Sorry, Karman. I don't know Peter and I don't currently have any pictures of your car that you haven't already seen but I'm always on the lookout for vintage pics.

Thanks, I know it's challenging. I have reached out to Rick Ware in hopes of his family have a few shots of the car. Also one of the sponsors of the day so we will see......The search continues.

We received our acceptance email from the Monterey Historics group. The car will be at Monterey.  After the Mitty in April the work begins to get it back into period shape.  Quite an honor to be accepted in the group. It won't stop there, the search continues for additional information. Thank you to all who have assisted.

Karman, congratulations on being accepted to Monterey. That's not a slam dunk by any means. I look forward to
meeting you and seeing the car there. Sounds like you won't be going to the Sonoma Historics.

Good Morning Jon,
I know it's great, this old independent car being accepted to run with so many well known cars just like back in the day. I'm looking forward to it. We are going to do what ever it takes to make it right, but I do not want to do a full restoration...not yet anyway..the patina is just too classic.
I would like to go to Sonoma but it depends on how quickly I can get the car prepared.  We will see. I look forward to meeting you and the others as well.

Karman,
Did I understand you to say that you're going to run it in the Walter Mitty (Road Atlanta)?

Karman,

Any plans on bringing it up to Road America for The HAWK with Brian Redman (Vintage Cars) July 18-21st??  If not this year if the car is being worked on, but maybe next year.  I would love to see it rumble through the streets of Elkhart Lake on the way to the race car concours on the grounds of Osthoff Resort and then on  track at Road America.

Here's a direct link.

This car started life as a '68 Camaro and was reskinned as a '69 for the '71 season. You can see pics of it as
a '68 if you look at the 1969 Wolverine Trans-Am thread on this forum.

Just as info: The reason this car was reskinned was because of an accident at a National at Meadowdale. It was raining heavily and Jerry crashed on the front straight of the short course. He made an attempt at straightening the car, but the damage (mostly tree damage) was too severe.

When the car was sponsored by Dupli-Color many components were painted different colors to advertise the Dupli-Color brand. The differential was purple if I remember correctly. The grill surround was tan. This picture is not from the Mike Jarchow collection.
