This photo is one that was sent to me by David Tom and is from his personal collection. It will be used in his forthcoming Trans-Am book
which should come out in print sometime in 2013. Many thanks to David for letting me post it here in advance of his book. The photo is
from the June 1967 Mid-Ohio Trans-Am race. The blue & yellow Camaro is Mark Donohue's (but driven by George Follmer that weekend)
and the yellow & black one is Craig Fisher's. It is interesting to note on the Fisher car that the stock gas filler hole in the center of the rear
taillight panel has been completely smoothed over.

Ralph Webb's Camaro getting ready to head to the track for the '68 Meadowdale Trans-Am.

This car was owned by Arnie Fick and sponsored by O A Fick Tool and Die Works in Chicago.  It is a 1967 Camaro that was a repo. Almost everything was stripped from it, including the grill, so a 1968 grill was installed.

Jon, I am having trouble with my scanner. Can you please post a couple more of the pictures I sent you of this car.  I know there is the rear shot in the driveway and an action shot from the 1968 Trans Am at Meadowdale with Ralph Webb driving.

does this car exist today?? who owns it?? thank you

Jon Mello

To the best of my knowledge, the car has not been located. The car was sold to Allen Hewitt who also raced it in Trans-Am but who it went to after that is unknown by me.

Here's a photo of the Gagnon Spring sponsored Camaro as seen at St. Jovite in a support race for either the USAC Indy race in August, or the F1 Grand Prix in September 1968. Francois Favreau was the driver.

Here are two photos sent to me by Mike Scott from Canada. They were taken by a friend of his named Adam Papp.

The Rick Stevens (ex-Mo Carter) Camaro, Mosport 1972.

The Rick Stevens - Robert Barg (ex-Mo Carter) Camaro, Mosport 1973.

Thanks Mike, for supplying those photos.  The 72 photo appears to be taken at the Mo Carter unnoficial T/A Charity race (see other thread) and the 73 photo was taken at a 2 or 3 hr.Mosport club race enduro -
mechanical problems at both races. After much reasearching. Rick and I believe this car to be a rebodied Firebird shell built in the Carter shops and raced by Alfie in 71.  According to other info it is believed to
have been raced at the 71 Kent T/A race by Mo Carter.  This car was later sold to Leon Alain in late 74, who had previously raced his own 68 camaro in a few T/A races.  Leon only did a few club races before this
car was destroyed in a garage fire.

oops, meant to say it was believed to have been raced by Mo Carter at the 70 Kent T/A race.

Here's a photo of Mo Carter's '69 Camaro taken at the Mosport track in 1970.
This photo was taken by Adam Papp and sent to me by Mike Scott.

Wow, after looking at the photos of both cars they sure look the same to me?

This photo from the January 17, 1968 issue of National Speed Sport News shows the Penske team testing their leftover '67 in mid-January 1968. This is the car that
Donohue used for the West Coast T/A races in the fall of '67 (note this car still has the '67 paint job with the stripes on it). They did not end up running a 2-car team
at Daytona, opting to just use their new '68 car instead. That decision would not play out in their favor. (Jon Mello Collection)

The dark green Alan Green sponsored '67 Z-28 driven by Skip Scott. Skip won the "big bore" race at Kent, WA on June 30, 1968.
This is the same car driven by Gary Gove and Jerry Grant during the '67 season.

This car appears to be (visually) the same car that Bob West drove at the 1970 Laguna Seca Trans-Am, April 19, 1970.
