The AIM is a must but would also get the Chassis Service Manual and the Chassis Overhaul Manual.

I would say eBay or Amazon.com. I found good used Chassis manual on Amazon and The AIM on eBay.

The AIM has been  reproduced for many years. I bought one probably 18-20 years ago from Classic.  It has been photo copied so many times that some pages aren't very clear. There was a recent post over on TC that had a link to a PDF copy. We've  got some serious high speed internet at work and I should just print it because the pages looked clearer than my copy. Don't know about the Chassis Manual.

Price around the internet as suggested and within a short period of time you will find out what is the retail price, and what the bargain prices are. And as suggested sometimes you find someone advertising a used one for a good price. I personally have both the AIM in copy and on a disc. My copy is from the early 80's so its pretty good and believe some of the newer versions do have much clearer pictures but it is something to watch out for as some are not too good. The Chassis Service and Overhaul Manuals do not have the issues like some of the AIM manuals have. Happy hunting!
