Heater/Air Box seals
« on: January 31, 2011, 05:05:34 AM »
Any body know of a good source for all the seals for the A/C 69 cars. Need from defrost vents down. Can find nothing on the upper defrost tube to dash seals.
Also looking for the missing spring on the fresh air door RS.

I ordered the repro heater box seals, very disappointed. Ended up ordering various sheets of sponge neoprene and rubber from mcmaster.  Then made templates and cut them by hand.  Worked out much better.

Rick's has the upper defrost tube to dash seal  but it is part of a heater box seal kit.

The Defrost tube, when in place does not have a even spacing between the two. One end, on the back side, on both left and right side seems to have almost twice the spacing. Anybody else have the same?
There seems to bee no mods and I am almost sure it is orig.

Yes, they tend to warp over time, I had to put a couple extra screws and double up the seals to get it fitting properly.
