Alternator Pulley P/N
« on: January 18, 2011, 01:30:37 PM »
I'm looking for the part number for the double-groove pulley that goes on alternator 1100813. The AIM doesn't supply the number. Thanks, Joe.

According to the PULLEY LIST, the 68 Camaro L6 cars got the 1969433 pulley.

I did look at the pulley list. I read it as ALL L6's or ALL K76's. But not all L6's required a double groove pulley. Further enlightenment would be appreciated.

I'm not home until Saturday morning, so I can't do any further research. If someone else doesn't chime in before then, I'll see what I can dig up.

If you look at the belt routing charts in the '68 A.I.M. in UPC 6, sheets A8 and A9, the only L-6's that don't use the double-groove pulley (and don't use the 813 alternator, which came with the double-groove pulley already on it) are the base-engine automatic with no options, and the base-engine automatic with A/C.

Thanks Ed and John. It looks like 1969433 is the correct one. Joe.
