Steve, I'm almost certain this is what Dan was referring to. We'll just have to wait for him to weigh-in.

I believe the point he is making...this is one way to tell a factory label from a re-pop and give better control on where the factory labels were placed. Again, for A/C cars this label could have been placed just about anywhere on the shroud...Center as with yours, or forward right or left. IMO
