I had some very good luck today I thought I would share with all those who are hunting for information about their car. I finally found and talked with the guy that bought my car new. ;D He is going to look for any information or pictures he might have. He said his wife might have some of this stuff stuck back somewhere. So don't ever give up. You never know what a little patients and searching may yield.   :o

Congratulations! Great feeling huh? Know how I felt when I found the orig. owner of our car in the fall of 2008. And then even more excited when in July 2010 during a follow up conversation I find out he still has the orig. bill of sale and other paperwork from the Jan/68 purchase which I now have copies.
Yep, great feeling!

i bought my 67 rs/ss from the orig owner in 1984. at that time he told me he had paperwork for it somewhere. at that time, who cared. in 1989 i put the car away, bought a house, got married. flash forward to 2005, started a frame off resto on the car and looked up the orig owner on the internet and was surprised to find out that he had moved to my town 15yrs ago. he came to see the car in mid restoration with his wife and two grown kids, all of them wanted to see the car. they spent half the day at my house telling stories. as he was leaving he said " I still have the bill of sale for the car if you want it?" the car was sold new at village chevrolet in queens village new york three months to the day and 300 cars before jerry m's 13,000mi orig 67 z.

Great news and congratulations, this is sometimes a very difficult task to track down and speak to these owner. Sometimes they don't even remember any details about the car other than the colour. The biggest bonus will be if he finds some old pics or better yet DOCS.... ;D
