So far, Seymour have told me that they can't process international orders online and to contact Nancy at Seymour - still waiting a reply.

Ok, so Nancy replied and as expected it will cost a kings ransom to fly this stuff to Au. Wether I get one can or 6 cases it won't affect the freight cost very much.

JohnZ/Kurt, I notice in their pdf for engine enamels www.seymourpaint.com/hi_tech_engine_enamels.pdf that they quote it as 'High Gloss'
Do you consider even Seymour's paint as being a bit on the glossy side compared to factory?

I haven't used the Seymour paint - I always use the Quanta paint, and it's right on.

Cheers John, would you rate the Quantra as semi-gloss?

Ryderfleetproducts.com carries the Seymour EN-48 (that's where I got mine).  Their web page says they ship internationally.  You might contact them and make sure.

No, it's a little glossier than that, but not the full gloss that most of the paints are that look like basecoat/clearcoat. The Quanta paint does very well in NCRS and Bloomington Gold Corvette judging; most of the others get deductions for "over-restoration".

I should also add that the Seymour EN-48 does very well in the "Legend Certification" at the Camaro Nationals.

Cheers guys, comments appreciated.
Have sent of an email to Ryder, though I'm not expecting the freight cost to be much different.

Here's what the Quanta Chevy Engine Orange (same paint as the Seymour) looks like on my '67 Corvette 327/300hp; good color, medium gloss - about as close to original as you'll find.

Thanks John...I now know what everyone means when they say too much red pigment in some engine paints...looks like an engine pull is on my next to do list. This should be fun... :-\

I know there are a few threads on this same topic but they seem to be scattered & hard to trace.  Does anyone have detailed pics of a completed small block (350) they would care to share? I am looking for detail on what should and shouldn't be painted.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info Daniel & thanks for the links. There are some useful pics (over-spray etc). I'll start pasting these into a file for future reference.
