Question on 67-69 Doors
« on: June 14, 2010, 07:06:05 AM »
How does one tell the difference between '67, '68, and '69 Camaro doors--from both the inside and outside. Then how does a person tell the difference if the inside door panel is removed? Is there any numbers/letters inscribed on each door anywhere? merv@scottsrandr.com or 626-239-6436

69 doors are shaped different on the outside not even close to a 67 or 68 . 67s have a vent window  and on the inside the upper metal shows  where as on 68s & 9s the top is covered up with the inner door panel . Hinge bolt location is different too

On 67 doors, the door panel stops about 3 inches below the window, so the upper 3 inches of the door (inside) is painted to match the interior color. On 68 doors, the interior panel wraps up over the top of the door and touches the window. The interior window "fuzzie" on 68's are attached to the interior panel, on 67's the interior "fuzzie" is attached to the door itself.

The 69 door on the outside has a horizontal feature line partway down the skin that fades out as it goes from the front of the door to about halfway back.
