Sonet,

Sorry for the late response.  My '69 is a 05A Norwood built coupe.

As Ed noted from the 9/1968 edition parts manual, the gasket #3015053 was called out for 69 All except Corvair, and gasket #3929038 for the 68-69 Camaro convertible.  Its interesting that JohnZ and GordonOne 02D build cars did not have the gasket.  I wonder it did not make into the production assembly until mid year, or if the gasket was only issued as part of a service parts package?

I hope to hear back from others with original RWD, and what their build date and plant is.

Dave

luv2sixty9,

Interesting...my 05A and your 11A '69s both have the gasket with wire mesh.  Hopefully more will respond to narrow down the approximate build month when the wire mesh gasket usage started.

Thanks!
