Window Glass
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:55:22 PM »
I will be getting my car out of the body shop in about a month or two and am looking for recommendations on window glass.  I have seen prices all over the place and not sure what to buy.  First of all, not sure if I really need to pony up to the date coded glass.  Just want something that fits well and looks good.  The body shop painting the car said that he has used Auto City glass before and had relatively few problems.  He said he thought he bought PPG from them but they said they dont sell ppg anymore because it is a lot thinner than original.  I see that they have ebay specials for 475 with free shipping which is cheaper than their regular price plus it has free shipping.  Any reason to stay away from them?  Any other suggesions?

Well, I am partial to PS Auto Glass (see www.psautoglass.com). Great people, easy to work with and great quality glass. The right curvature, tinting is good, etc. It's date coded, but I think  it is well worth the cost.
