Parts Catalogs
« on: February 16, 2010, 05:35:39 PM »
I want to buy a GM parts catalog for my 68 and was wondering which edition is best. As far as I know, the early editions show the original part numbers but not the replacement part numbers whereas the later editions show the replacement numbers but do not show numbers that are discontinued. Are there any other considerations? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe.

The P&As had service part numbers... sometimes the numbers match orginal, sometimes they don't.  I've got a P&A that was published with 2 months of my 68's build date, but some of the service numbers still do not match original....
An early 70s edition would be a good idea for research.
