Buyer beware discussion
« on: November 15, 2009, 01:08:11 AM »
I just finished reading an interesting and lengthy thread over at nastyz28. http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107384 He is accused of selling repop pieces as NOS.

Does anyone here have any experience dealing with the eBay buyer/seller: gm_restoration_parts?
I thought he appeared good according to his feedback record but after reading the above thread I'm not so sure anymore.

The #s on the rear bumper are the wrong design. Think he could have done better than that

It looks as if gm_restoration_parts has pulled all his items off eBay.
http://shop.ebay.com/gm_restoration_parts/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A1%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A1240&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_pgn=2
That's probably because folks are onto him.  He will pop back up with a new screen name and same old home made GM boxes and stickers.

Nothing new about this guy. There are many threads on NastyZ28 about him. Every so often he changes his screen name on ebay. He is especially into faking the tach and gauge clusters (rescreening tachs etc) as well as the carb heat shields. A long time scam artist.

Looks like the same guy that was mentioned not long back on another forum. In particular his bumper bars were in question.?? They had GM part #'s with supposed GM stickers but were clearly not GM parts!  >:(
