Leaf springs on a 68 convertible

I have a numbers matching 68 convertible w/327.  As far as I know it is pretty much original underneath.  It has multi leaf springs but everything I've read says the 68 came with single springs.  Can anyone tell me if it is possible that the 68 convertible came with multi leaf springs?

Yes, it's possible.  From CRG...

"Generally, Z28's used 4-leaf springs and the other multi-leaf spring applications used 5-leaf springs. However, the use of 4-leaf springs was not limited to just 68-69 Z28's. Spring selection was a function of weight and options. SS and L30/M20 cars with 4-leaf springs are possible according to factory documentation and they have been observed on original cars."

Thanks for the reply.  I have another question though...My car is a 327, not an L30/M20.  It is not an SS obviously.  So that's why I'm confused about these springs.

L30 = 327cid/275hp V8 engine
M20 = Muncie 4-speed transmission

Is this what you have in your car?

I'd guess the springs may not be original. What's the stamped axle code?

Is there to tell if the springs themselves are original?

I also have a 327 mostly original vert and back in the mid 80's I had a few leafs added to my original mono leaf spring because of sag due to age at a local spring shop.  I plan on replacing with a nos mono leaf's or removing the additional leafs and have the original mono re-arched.
