quick question for those in the know. So with the option of U16 showing that 1410 1969 Camaros were ordered with it. Would that 1410 number only include a Z car where it was ordered separately, before it became mandatory in May?

Chevrolet mandated U16 or U17 as a required Z/28 extra-cost option. Was not included.

So how would you describe the 1410 Camaros ordered with U/16? I saw that you said it was not rare to have the tach and center fuel gauge in a 69Z.

As "not rare in a Z/28."

So the 1410 Camaros would refer to SS or anything but a Z/28 then?

A mandatory option was still counted as an option. The 1,410 total included all cars ordered with U16, mandatory or discretionary.

Cars built with COPO 9737, which included U16 as of June, would not be included in the total.

Well I guess I guess it would seem somewhat rare to me, when you look at 1410 and then figure it applies to all cars (except the COPO 9737). Even if the Z got about half, still only talking 700 Z cars with the center fuel gauge.
