250 L22 6cyl parts required
« on: July 01, 2009, 10:58:01 AM »
Where can I buy parts unique to a 6cyl engine????????

I have recently purchased a 1967 250 cu in coupe. The car is remarkably original with around 87k miles. I only need a small number of unique 6cyl parts (Fuel line from pump to carby and smog diverter valve) but nobody seems to list to much for a 6cyl. I know its not a popular engine and most find them boring, but the car is to original to butcher and turn into a clone/tribute or just a hot rod. Does any body know of where I could get these parts.

The only things that have been modified is the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carby, the smog pump diverter valve has been removed and hoses blocked of, and it has a set of early American Racing wheels on it, which will be replaced. Its not pristine, just been used and looked after.

You're in luck cause the valves will show up on ebay (cheap too), but I doubt the fuel line would.

It's not a diverter valve, it's a fuel mixture control valve in 67.

Great that you're restoring an L6 car!

Any ideas on what percentage of 67's came as 250, column shift powerglide, ermine white with red interior? Its real plain car, no power steering or brakes, no air, basically no options I have been able to establish as yet.

Not when you start combining options with colors. Then that gets real hard to guestimate with any accuracy.
