I have a 69 built 8D 68.  All engine cast dates are H3-H7.  About three weeks.  Dave

Looks like the original part number was 3931575.  Used for all 68's with 4BC 327 & 350 engines except special high perf ones.  Rochester carb was used with this manifold originally too.

Yes, the P/N 3931575 intake has a casting number of 3919803, and was used in 68 for all small block Rochester 4bbl cars.

The correct intake for the "68" L30 is casting # 3919803. However on my 07D build the intake has the casting # 3927184 with a casting date of F 22 8. That intake is for a "69" 350, but I was told Chevrolet may have started using them on late build "68's". It does have the front oil fill tube. Hope this helps, RonM.

What's the casting date and assembly date of your block? that will get you in the ballpark. Just remember that the intake should be around the same time as the block "casting" date, but before the engine "assembly" date.

I do not have my origional block. Currently i have a 010 4 blot main 350 block with a 327 crank and pistons...not assembled yet though... my car isnt going to be #'s matching when its done... but i do want to get as many parts as close to what origionally com on the car to start...or at least a close copy of a L30/M20 should i later discover that it wasnt a real one... should i bother trying to find a correct casting and dated block and build my L30 around that.... or build it around the 010 block i have? any opinions apperciated!!!
