Eastwood Metal Shrinking Disk
« on: March 25, 2009, 04:32:32 PM »
Has anybody ever used the Eastwood Metal Shrinking Disk and can you offer any feedback on the results. It says it heats and shrinks the metal. I'm thinking of buying one to shrink some metal on the quarters that was warped by improper sand blasting. I tried to heat shrink one of the quarters with a torch and wet rag and made a mess of it, including oil canning. Thanks.

I have used a shrinking disk with some success. Go to You Tube and do a search for "Metal Shrinking Disk". There are a bunch of Video's that will give you an idea of what is involved.
