1968 z 28 holley

My Holley 4053 is dated 705 on my 68 z. Does this seem to far away as far as date for a 02E car from California like my car is. It seems the other pieces to the car are dated a lot closer to the build of the car.

That's four months and not that unusual. (Well within the accepted norm)

My 05D car has it's carb dated 833 (3rd week of March, 1968) which is just over two months difference. Note that these carbs were built in batches so I would say it's okay. Also note that greater date variations have been observed on LOS cars than on NOR cars.

Thanks Ed for the information. My car seems to have a lot of early dated parts for the build of the car but I guess the California factor could have something to do with that. Alternator is 7H10 ,Dist. is 7G20 and Starter is 7H8 . I guess some of these parts could be left over from the 67 cars as not many of them were built either.
