Distributor Suggestions?
« on: February 06, 2008, 06:36:38 PM »
I have a 1970 LT-1 Corvette motor in my 68 SS350 Camaro. It was rebuilt to stock LT-1 specs with the exception of a hydraulic cam. Any suggestions on an aftermarket distributor and ignition system in order to gain some performance?

I've used an electronic Pertronix distributor and it works great. It has the small black cap and vacuum advance canister so it looks stock but without the points, and I also used the black Pertronix 7mm plug wires. It's also super simple to wire the thing into a hidden MSD box. It's the GM transistor ignition on steroids..lol. My 2 cents.

He's right that works great, But if you dont care about the stock look I would go with MSD Dist, Coil,Wires, And Ing Box.(6A,6AL). MSD designs all of its products to work with each other. If its Performance you are lookin for. If its the stock look I would go with the Petronix Like he said.
