Quadrajet restoration?
« on: October 22, 2008, 01:42:53 AM »
Okay, I am going to buy the correct quadrajet carb for my car.  I can rebuild it myself, but I can't get that really pretty goldish-like finish.  I have seen the paints that look exactly like that...a painted carb.  What coating is available that will give me the correct finish and look for a new quadrajet?  Or, in the alternative, is there a person that someone can recommend that can do this for me?

My brother had his done by these guys:

It looks beautiful and runs great.  The cost was very reasonable.

We do them and rebuild with a racer's edge for better performance.

Jerry,

what would be the cost of rebuilding and refinishing a Quadrajet?  Also, does the refinishing look like the original or is it painted?

Thanks,

Steve
