What is the correct number of turns for a fast ratio steering box on a 1969 Z28.
Thanks

The AMA specs submission shows 4.8 turns lock-to-lock for standard Camaro manual steering, and 3.5 turns lock-to-lock for Z/28 manual steering; standard Camaro power steering is 2.2, and Z/28 power steering is 2.06.

In both cases (manual and power), the ratio of the steering gear itself is the same between the standard Camaro and the Z/28, but the overall ratio is different - the Z/28 used different length pitman arms and steering arms on the spindles to reduce the overall ratio relative to the standard Camaro.

Jon Mello has more info on the N44 - it isn't covered in the AMA specs submission.
