« on: September 26, 2008, 04:49:11 PM »
I have a 10C Norwood car and am wondering what printing date I should be looking for as I search for an original owners manual? Thanks.

You need to find a First Edition owner's manual dated August 1968.  The part number is 3955543.     :)

Sorry, I should have thought about the year. The car was built in October 1969 as the build sequence number 70xxxx. Thanks!

Good question John!     ;)

Sorry, I should have thought about the year. The car was built in October 1969 as the build sequence number 70xxxx. Thanks!

In that case, you need to find a Second Edition owner's manual dated December 1968.  The part number is 3955544.     :)

I've just seen an April 1969 printing date for a supposedly original manual on ebay. Wouldn't that be more likely given the build date of my car? Thanks.

Thanks for this thread!  I have a 10B 68 Camaro and wondered about the manual and it is the original manual! First Edition owner's manual dated August 1968 with part number is 3955543. I also found the original warranty card! (no POP) :( It was sold new on 10/26/68 from Doan Calhoun in philly!

Speaking of owner manual print dates, would the Third Edition, April print date be acceptable for a 05A Camaro?  Would the distribution of an April printing have made it the assembly plant by the first week of May?

I purchased my original manual years ago, and until this discussion thread, had not paid much attention to the print date.

Based on the previous and related discussion thread on manuals, here are some pic's to show the print date and color of yellow pages added for the A.I.R. system.

I have the original Canadian owner's manual for my 02D '69 (which has the yellow pages in the center for the PCV/CCS/A.I.R. systems), and it's P/N 732970, First Edition, August 1968.
