Cowl Induction with A/C
« on: June 17, 2008, 08:59:06 PM »
Has anyone out there tried a cowl induction with A/C in a 67.  I have 67 with factory A/C and am not sure where to connect up the cowl connection.

The power feed for the relay for the flapper door solenoid just needs to be connected to a switched 12V source at the fuse block, like the "IGN" or "ACC" cavity.

I think he's talking about the old cowl induction ductwork that connected to the firewall, before GM cam out with the cowl induction hood.  If so, theres no way to do it, since the A/C suitcase sits right were the connection to the firewall was made.

i actually have installed a cowl induction hood on my car.  My hope is to get it working the right way but not sure whether can make it work with the A/C suitcase in the way.

There's nothing about an A/C car that interferes in any way with the ZL2 hood setup; it was available on SS cars with or without A/C.

Thank you much for your replies.  I was wondering if the set up is in the assembly manual or where would I find the schematics for the set up of the Cowl system.

I'm pretty sure GearheadTX is talking about the cowl induction ducting that went from aircleaner to cowl through the firewall in a 67. Not a using cowl hood.
