1968 wood wheel
« on: May 08, 2008, 07:12:15 PM »
Any idea what torque the steering wheel nut should be? I have put my wood wheel back on after winter storage and the horn activates by itself the odd time. Could the nut be on to tight?

standard column in the car. I think maybe I found the problem. The spring pin is on an angle and I think it is shorting itself out on the steering wheel hub where it comes through

standard column in the car.

35 lb. ft. per the 1968 Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual.
