No simple solution found, short of court award approach which seems to be the next step. I will relist what I know about the car in a repost. I have some pics available. Can you/anyone help determine a reasonable value for this project. I am wishing to sell ultimately, as I admire the car, but I am not a car project person. I appreciate all the prior suggestions and thanks to all who posted. Look for the repost please.

Again, contact the executor for the estate. They should have power of attorney for the deceased, and the legal ability to request a duplicate title from motor vehicle, and then transfer ownership to you.

Worth a shot.

If you have some pics and more information from the car, that would help in determining a value.  Year, options, trim tag information, etc. would help as well.  Feel free to email me and I'll be glad to help.  What part of Texas are you in?  I might even be interested in the car itself!  You can get me at zegret1992@yahoo.com.  Thanks and good luck!
