Rick's Motor Mounts
« on: March 08, 2008, 10:15:18 PM »
Does anyone know if Rick's part # EP-89 motor mounts are correct for the original frame stands on a 68 Z28?  Also which through bolts are correct?  The pointed tipped ones, or the flat tipped ones?  Nuts?  Marsden or what?  Thanks.

I purchased the big block mounts for my 69 Z and they did not work.  They weren't even close.  Go nosif you can.

They aren't too specific on the 68 mounts as they are with the 69s.

They say to use the EP-90 for original frame mounts, and EP-88 for aftermarket stands.  They make no mention on the EP-89, so I would guess they work with the orginals, but don't know for sure.  Might want to call and ask.

I had gotten these years ago out of an older catalog so I should ask them which is correct again.  I guess I should ask if anyone knows where to get motor mounts that are the most correct for the 68 Z with original frame stands.  I've got some vibration and I'm trying to rule out one thing at a time.  I'd like to start with having the right motor mounts.  Thanks
